How You Can Earn Money from Blogging

Posted by on June 28, 2009

As you surf the web on a daily basis, you will come across dozens of blogs, all of which are only a tiny fraction of the ones that exist online. You probably read several and you might even have one of your own. If so, you might want to look into how you can make money blogging. With a little work, you can make a profit while having fun at the same time.

Of course, if you are getting paid to write something, it is almost always essential for you to know what you’re talking about. Knowledge of a subject lets you write a variety of posts about it and in such a way that they will be interesting and worth reading. Sometimes you can research about what you don’t know, but make sure the topic inspires you, or it won’t be worthwhile.

Keep in mind that if someone is hiring you to write about a certain topic, they will typically expect you to have a reasonable knowledge of that topic. Your posts will need to be interesting and varied so that viewers will actually want to read them. At the very least, try to find a need for a subject that interests you, or the project will not be enjoyable.

Along with basic writing and editing skills, you will also need to use other specific tools when blogging for a third party. A blog owner won’t make money online if nobody reads his blog, so knowledge of search engine optimization, or SEO, and using keywords to get people to the blog in the first place are very important. Try to get as many website hits as possible.

Writing isn’t the only crucial element to blogging for money. A popular and easily accessible option is to use advertising on your blog to get paid by an outside company. Google AdSense, Chitika, and others will send you a check at the end of each month in exchange for ad space on your blogs. Pay is mostly based on the number of clicks that each ad gets.  Remember, however, that the rules aren’t uniform.  Some affiliate programs that sell products will pay you only if a visitor from your site buys something from them.

The good thing about advertising on your blog is that it’s a tried and true way to make money blogging. On the other hand, you will want to avoid issues like having too much advertising, which can get on readers’ nerves and make you look less credible .

Again, you need people to actually come to your blog if you want to have any chance of getting a considerable amount of money through advertising. You don’t have to know all about SEO, but do try to search around a bit and find information about using keywords to your advantage.

Whether you consider yourself to be a good writer or not, you can make money blogging and have a good time doing it. The hits you get will make you feel good and the pay will make you feel even better.  Take the time to know what you’re going to write about, formulate a good advertising strategy, and you’ll be pleased with the results. Everyone can use some extra cash these days, so why not start your money-making blog today?

Earn Money Just from Blogging

Posted by on June 28, 2009

Blogging originally began as a hobby where people would write about themselves and their passions.  In fact, it was only that, until people discovered that they could actually make money blogging and professional bloggers were raking in more money than most executives who were slaving away at their offices.

Today, blogging has become a good source of income for many people. However just starting a blog is not a guarantee that you will make money online, since there are probably billions of blogs out there that your blog is essentially competing against. Purchasing a catchy domain is just a small part of the whole puzzle. There are, however, a few things you can do to make your blog attract more people.  When people start noticing your blog and visiting it regularly, that’s when you can start making some money off your blogging efforts.

You need to inform search engines and blogging directories that your blog is live. You do this by submitting the URL of your blog to various search engines and online directories. This will eventually ensure that when someone searches with the keywords you are using, there’s a bigger chance for your blog to pop up in the results. You will also need to actively participate on other blogs by posting your personal opinion in the form of comments. This will get many people to your blog from other blogs. You will however need to say something relevant to the subject or your comments might never be allowed on the page. This will also build credibility for you.

People who are active on discussion boards often get more traffic to their blogs because they have the opportunity to post links back to their blog and communicate with people who are into the same niche as they are. The more you participate on these discussion boards and forms the more people will begin to recognize you. When you start getting a decent amount of visitors to your blog you should begin by placing ads on your blog. I usually recommend that you don’t do this prior to before you start getting a few thousand visitors a day.

When making a blog post make sure that you put up a relevant picture along with the post, especially if you plan to sell products within your blog. This should help people understand your posts and products further. You can also include a form that enables people to send you a message so that they can get in touch with you if they want to do business with you.

Nowadays many bloggers are getting in touch with other bloggers to exchange backlinks and build stronger connections. This is a good way to start getting more traffic to your own site. You also need to think out ofthe box if you want to make more money.  Remember: on the internet, as is true everywhere else, unique ideas sell.

Learn To Use Article Directories For Your Marketing

Posted by on June 28, 2009

Once your website is up and running, you need a valid plan of action to get the site on the radar. It does not really matter if its an affiliate site, an ecommerce site, or a niche blog written by you.  All of them go nowhere without traffic, whether you are looking to make money or not. While there are multitudes of tools that can assist with this, the fact is search engines are still the single largest source of free traffic to your site.  One of the best ways to move up your ranking in the seach engines is through writing articles and posting them to many article directories.

To get decent results, you will need to create 20 to 40 unique and different articles about your niche. You want to cover all angles of your sites niche, and make sure you cover the top 5 to 7 keywords in your particular area.  Do not try to get ranked on too many at one time, you need to focus your energy and article writing on a specific set until you start seeing visible results, then move on to a few others.  Once you have your niche articles written, you will need to have a tool to help you spin the content.

For those of you new to SEO and website ranking stuff, spinning simply means that you have several variations of the same content so that you do not post 200 copies of the exact same text all over the web.  So for example, your sentence might be "The dog is brown". If you wanted to change this around, you could also say almost the same thing with "The dog has black fur".  So its basically the same end image, but using different words. The reason for this is most of the search engines will impose a duplicate content penalty at some point, this is to keep someone from posting 10,000 copies of the same thing all at once all over the web to get links - essentially gaming the system. The cutoff area is not really stated by the search engines, its a gray area. In general, even with spinning, I try to never post more than 20 identical copies of the same article to sites on the web.

One great tool for distributing your articles and spinning the content is My Article Network. You have the ability to post to over 10,000 blogs, covering thousands of different locations and IP addresses. The publishing of your article is totally automated once added and the simple spin tools are used to add additional relevant content.  Best of all, if you have a site in need of additional content, its 100% free to use.  This is probably the best tool I have ever seen for article marketing, and the ease of use is incredible.
